I places the wrong account number on my taxes, i habe been waiting for nearly a month for my taxes tp come in only to just now discover this was the issue how do i fix

Basically, you don't. If you elected direct deposit and provided the wrong account number, then when the IRS attempt is rejected back to them, they will cut a paper check and mail it to the address listed on your tax return. You can expect 6-8 weeks before you get your check in the mail.

You can no longer change your account details. Your refund will be rejected by the bank and the IRS will send you a paper check. This can take from 3 to 6 weeks.
