Amount of stimulus received is incorrect.

In 2020 I received a 3rd stimulus check in the amount of $2800 for myself and 1 dependent.  Based on my college aged daughter 2019 income, she filed on her own and she received a third stimulus check in the amount of $1400.  In 2020 she worked part time and I provided most of her support.  So this year I am claiming both of my daughters.  However, when TT is asking me how much did I receive for my third stimulus I entered $2800.  However since I am now claiming my third daughter I am getting a credit of $1400, which is incorrect because I did not claim her last year.  Please help.  I am not entitled to the $1400 credit.

Yes you can also get it even if she did.  And she doesn't have to pay it back.   It is really based on your 2021 return.  But why didn't you claim her last year?  Was she a full time student?

And did you list the right years?   What does 2019 have to do with this?   The years don't make sense.

It is correct ... the third stimulus check is a credit on the 2021 return and the advance you got was based on the 2019 or 2020 returns.  So even though your daughter got the $1400 advance credit based on her 2020 return  you ALSO get the $1400 credit for her based on the fact you are claiming her on your 2021 return ... this is an odd quirk in the tax law ... a LEGAL double dip.
