I filed my taxes and I need to add my 1098T form for school. I was last told to print and fax the 1040X form but nothing on the form coincides with my 1098T form?

You do not fax a Form 1040X.  A Form 1040X has to be printed, signed and mailed.  Do not send in an amended return until your original return has been fully processed or you will confuse the IRS and delay things.  And....they are not opening the mail now anyhow, so if you mail it now, it will just sit in a bin.

A 1040X cannot be e-filed.  It must be printed and mailed.  It will take about 4 months for the IRS to process an amended return.  It is a good idea to use a mailing service that will track it, like UPS or certified mail, so you will know it was received.

You can complete the 1040X on TurboTax.  Use these instructions to prepare the amendment.  When you prepare the amendment, you will add the 1098-T and the details of your education expenses to your tax return.  Then, TurboTax will generate a completed 1040X for you to mail into the IRS.
