If your tax return was e-filed and accepted by the IRS, then you do NOT amend the filed tax return, unless you need to make changes to the tax return that was filed. And even then you should not amend the tax return until you have received the refund or the taxes owed have been processed by the IRS.
To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
