Why do you need to change it? You shouldn’t need to amend for that. Or did you itemize deductions. The Standard Deduction or Itemized Deductions are on 1040 line 12. It is automatically applied unless your itemized deductions are more.

TurboTx calculated our standard deduction to be $34,700; it appears not to include the additional senior deduction of $6000 each. our taxable income is $170k. why not?
