After finishing my self employment taxes with TurboTax, I realized it shows that I have a filed federal tax return and then an amended federal tax return? I’m confused

I only filed once - late - on October 20

I did file an extension on July 15

But why would it show amended?

TurboTax doesn't show amend unless you pushed the button for "Amend a Filed Return" ,

Did you click on amend by mistake to go back in to your return for some reason?  Never click on amend unless you really want to amend.
