Adding 1095 A Form to Fedreal Return

I submitted my Federal Return on 01/15/25. I did not add my 1095 A form before submitting it, and the TT software did not even ask anything about healthcare coverage, so I forgot to add it. Once I realized I had not added it  I logged back in 15 minutes later and typed in How to add a  Form 1095 A in the search bar and a link came up to add the form so I did so and it allowed me to enter all my info for Form 1095 A.  All my prior info was already in the system from the first return so all I had to do was add the info for the 1095 A form and TT software reviewed everything and said it looked good and told me it had been filed and allowed me to view and download my return. The issue is that I now have 2 saved returns, one without the 1095 A form and one with the 1095 A form.

The one without Form 1095A, which is the incorrect one, only shows the first 2 pages of the 1040 Form and nothing else. The second return with the added 1095 A form, which is the correct one, has the additional forms for Schedule 2 with it, Form 8962 which is for those who had health coverage through healthcare.gov along with a page titled " Electronic Postmark-Certificate of electronic Filing"  that states" Your return was electronically transmitted on 01/15/25" plus there is an additional last page for enrolling in CSIdentity Corporation.

My return shows still pending since the IRS does not start accepting returns until Jan 27th, 2025.

When I log in TT home page it is still showing the one without Form 1095 being submitted to the IRS but wouldn't the one that has the "Electronic Postmark-Certificate of Filing" be the one that is sent to the IRS?

When I speak to TT support I get a different answer every time.

Thanks

Adding 1095 A Form to Fedreal Return

From what you mentioned, it sounds like return that was sent to the IRS is the one that included the Form 1095-A.  You can open the return again to see and or print the copy that was sent to the IRS. See the steps in the TurboTax help article for more information.

How can I access my return after I've e-filed or printed it?

In case the return that you filed didn't include Form 1095-A, the IRS will reject it.  When that happens, you will get a notification that lets you know that the return is rejected and you will get a code. ‌In this case, the reject code would be F8962-070 and you can follow the TurboTax help article below to fix it.

How do I fix e-file reject F8962-070?
