Accepted 2/10 still nothing
That's because filing season didn't start until the 12th. turbotax says accepted when the irs has your taxes...
Once you are accepted, you are on the IRS payment timetable. Only the IRS knows the status of processing your tax return, whether you owe taxes or are due a refund. In prior years, the IRS issued more than 9 out of 10 refunds to taxpayers in less than 21 days last year. The same results are expected for 2021.
Once you have e-filed your tax return, there are a few ways to check the status of your refund:
You can use the IRS Where’s My Refund? tool (fastest option)
Please see the links below for more information on when you will receive your refund:
Also note: You can check here: Where's My Refund? - Internal Revenue Service but it is posted as follows: "Updates to Where’s My Refund Status Delayed for Some
The Where’s My Refund app may show “Return Received,” even if we’ve already issued your refund.
I'm in the same boat. Hopefully they are just backed up. Good luck.
This was not the right reply to give me as it’s been over 21 days now and I am still waiting on a due date from the irs.
I didn’t want a generic reply. I wanted a legitimate real person that cares to answer with a real answer. This is now my money that is being played with. It is not a game. If I wanted this reply I would have just typed it in the search bar.
Once your returns are accepted by the IRS, TurboTax no longer receives any updates on them.
Since it has been more than 21 days since your return was accepted, you will need to contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 and follow the prompts for a live representative. The person that you speak with will have direct access to your tax return and be able to provide you with a status update.
When you call, make sure you have the following information:
tax year
social security number
filing status
exact refund amount
