You cannot submit an amended return electronically so you did NOT just send anything and it will never be accepted.

Open your return and make the changes needed then Print, ink sign and mail in the return as directed on the filing instruction page that prints with the amended return.

Or just cross out the date and write in the right one. But a date for what?
