Hello. I used Turbo Tax to file my 2019 tax return and I have a question regarding the dependents on my return.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
OK, what is your question? Remember that we in the Community cannot see your tax return nor the screen you are on.
Was my 2019 tax return already efiled or do I need to correct something?
Did you e-file? Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?
Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?”
Note: If it says “Ready to Mail” or “Printed” that means YOU have to mail it yourself. TurboTax does not mail your tax return for you.
I filed my 2019 tax return on March 28, 2019 and I still didn't receive it ?
IRS phone lines supported by customer service representatives for both taxpayers and tax professionals are not staffed at this time. To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

I called the number that you gave me and it said we cannot provide information about your refund.??
and my tax return not accepted yet.
Sorry---what do you get when you try the IRS refund site? Are you sure your return was accepted? Are you using the correct federal refund amount?

Sometimes people get confused by the “summary” given by TurboTax and use the wrong amount for the federal refund. Make sure you are only using the federal refund amount, and not an amount that combined your federal and state refunds.
Your federal refund amount is on line 20 of your Form 1040

And one other question---perhaps I should not assume you e-filed. Did you mail it? Mailed returns are piling up in trailers.
MAILED RETURNS
Per the IRS website IRS Operations During COVID-19: Mission-critical functions continue: The IRS is not currently able to process individual paper tax returns. If you already have filed via paper but it has not yet been processed, do not file a second tax return or write to the IRS to inquire about the status of your return or your economic impact payment. Paper returns will be processed once processing centers are able to reopen.
i tried the IRS website and it said the same.
I didn't receive email that said my tax was accepted.
@bzedan Then what does your account say? It sounds like you did not even file. When you look in your TT account does it say "accepted", "rejected", "printed" or "ready to mail?" If it says anything other than "accepted" it has not been filed.
