Ik irs is super over loaded but I don't see it taken this long to at least receive my paperwork. I feel like I'm stuck in limbo irs tell me they have no record if it and tax preper is saying it was sent out same day I came in her office which was on a Friday& I don't know what steps I need to take in keder to find out if preper even made them out

Why did your tax preparer mail your return instead of e-filing it?   If the tax preparer mailed it did they use a mailing service like certified mail or UPS with tracking so there is proof that the IRS received it?  Without that, there is no way to know it was received until it shows up on the IRS refund site.  That might take quite awhile because the IRS is severely backlogged.   Mailed returns are taking months to be processed.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.

When the IRS opens its mail and begins to process mailed returns you can check the status on the IRS site. https://www.irs.gov/refunds

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount of your refund from line 35a of your Form 1040.

State returns have to be mailed to the state.

I moved so I never received my yearly IP pin so I had no choice but to mail it in. I tried getting from the irs and through their website but I kept running into brick walls going no where.

In the future ... if you move again ... simply mail in a form 8822 to update your address in the IRS system ...  because you need that number each and every year going forward and they change the number every year.
