Your W-2 is not online. You get your W-2 from your employer. Some employers allow you to import it from a website but you need information from the W-2 in order to import it.

I NEED A COPY OF MY W-2

TurboTax does not have a copy of your W-2—the Wage & Tax Statement—issued to you by your employer, (nor does TurboTax have copies of your 1099’s). You should always save those documents for your own records. You could ask the employer(s) for copies or you can get a copy from Social Security (for a fee of $86).

If you saved a pdf of your completed tax return, the worksheets will show the W-2 information you entered, but not the actual W-2.

@DARKNLOVELY43 2010? The IRS and TurboTax only save returns for seven years. And---TurboTax never has copies of your W-2's.

@Sovalyem14 Ddi you read this thread before you posted your question? You cannot get your W-2 online. You get a W-2 from your employer. Or you can pay the Social Security Administration $86 for it if it is for a previous year. Or you can get a wage and income transcript from the IRS that will show wages reported by an employer to the IRS.

People don't have to be so rude. Like when you Google it.....it says to get your w2s follow link below. It's called false advertising and actually a waste of some people's time to be doing the right thing. I mean we all must not be as smart as you. I have a 161 iq but I'm taking it I'm not as smart as you either.

@Jrm0327 Employers have until January 31 to issue your W-2.

If your employer has not yet issued W-2’s you have to wait. Do not file a tax return unless ALL of your W-2’s have been entered on the SAME tax return.

Employers have until January 31 to issue your W-2. If you have lost contact with an employer, call them, email them or write them--or all three--to make sure they have your current address.
