Doing father's 2015 1040.KPERS income is taxable on federal but not in Kansas. I cannot get that to show on KS-40. How do I get it to read correctly? Thanks!

Working on father's 2015 tax return. Finished with 1040 but KPERS income should not be taxed in Kansas but TT is including it in income. How do I fix it?

Ok ... go back to the federal 1099-R input screen and after you entered the 1099-R you should have seen this screen where you would indicate this was a KPERs situation and hit the continue button until you get back to the 1099-R summary screen  ... then go back to the state tab and run that interview again so that it can pick that up correctly ....
