I expected to be charged $75 for the upgrade to Live, since I had Premier for free. Please let me know how I can fix this?

Can I downgrade to a lower-priced version of TurboTax Online?

I am at the same situation, I got free Turbo Tax Premier Federal & State by Fidelity and I upgraded them to self-employed, instead of paying the upgrading price 20$, I was charged at $108 (69$ federal + 39$ state with 20$ discount from fidelity) as if I never have premier copy. This is ridiculous. I called Turbo Tax customer support and was told first that I only needed to pay the upgrade price, but the tech person couldn't find how to revise the price. What's worse is that when I wanted to downgrade back to premier, but couldn't because I already bought "Premier" copy.
When you got the Turbo Tax Premier Federal and State, did you initially start the return from the promotional link on their website? In order to get the free version before upgrading, you do need to start on that link for things to register.
If you need additional assistance, please contact customer support here once more so we can better assist you on this. @Liz-NY
Of course I did, o.w. I won't be able to check out with free premier copy, I did have both receipts for Premier federal and state in my account.
You can follow the instructions here to clear and start over. This should bring you back to Premier.

I have already followed the instruction not only once, I got error message saying that
I have bought or registered so I can't clear and start over.
Since you are getting the error message, it would be best to contact a tax specialist here by phone. As they can see your screen to see what can be done.
As I stated earlier, I have already called and was told that they couldn't help, so I tried to search to see if anyone else was in similar situation and found this thread.
