Is it wrong that I created a new account so that I could be separated from my ex husbands?

My ex and I were divorced in February of last year. He filed jointly for the year before but this year I needed to file separately. So I created a new account.

You can either file your taxes together or separately.  Sounds like with creating your own account, you want to file separately which is acceptable.
