My employer entered my residence incorrectly as Virginia (VA) when I lived and work in Washington (WA). They paid state taxes in VA wrongly and I live in a no state income tax state. How do I get the tax money they paid incorrectly back?

file a nonresident return which will cost you a fee or go back to the employer and request a refund. they should be able to file amended payroll tax returns to get back the improper withholding.
You'll have to file a non-resident VA tax return indication that you have 0 income from VA to obtain a refund of VA tax unduly withheld.
