You cannot e-file yet if that is what you are attempting to do. E-filing is not open yet for 2025 returns. There are a number of updates needed before the software will be ready; one of the things it is not yet ready for is the change for overtime and tips, so you will have to wait.
The IRS will not begin to accept 2025 returns until the end of January, so slow down, be patient and wait for all of the forms and schedules, and software that you need to be ready for you to file a correct tax return.
Just like it says, turbotax is not ready. (Neither is the IRS for that matter. The shutdown really impaired their ability to get ready for the changes in the tax laws.). There's no point in rushing, especially since the IRS won't accept any returns until the end of January, and even the IRS will block e-filed returns that contain tax items that they haven't programmed yet. Sorry but you just have to be patient, the program will be updated as soon as the IRS and turbotax approve the forms and make sure they work correctly.
