With a 1099 MISC do you still get a w2?

On my 1040 Part 1 income 1e I've never received a W-2 so I left it blank.  On check an balance it refers to this section, what am I suppose to do>

No, if you only have a 1099-MISC to enter, and have not received a W-2, there should not be a W-2 entry to accompany this form. 

I would revisit the W-2 section to make sure there isn't an incomplete entry that is causing an error. 

1.) Federal

2.) Wages and Income

3.) Click Start or Revisit next to Wages and Salaries

4.) Click through the screens until you see a screen titled Here's your W-2 info

5.) Click the trash can icon next to any W-2 entry that you wish to delete
