Will turbotax free edition generate a form 8606 or do I need deluxe?

So will my refund change after I pay for the deluxe? when I'm upgrading without payment nothing changes...so it's confusing

Yes, Free Edition does not support Form 8606; you will need Deluxe.

You can also try to see if you qualify for Free File.

To you qualify

Make less than $34,000 a year or

Qualify for the Earned Income Credit or

Active military making less than $66,000
