Why was it so expensive to file this way?

Past years I purchased the Deluxe (approx. $50-60) then paid for filing the state. All for around $70-75. This year I filed online, via your site, and it was $95! I won't file online with you again.

Early filer discounts expired in mid March...do you normally file earlier in the tax season?

Yes the Online pricing is different. The Desktop program can be a better deal. Online versions are different. They don't all ahave the same forms so you might have to use a higher version if you have investments, etc. With the Desktop program all versions have all the same forms so you can use a lower version. And desktop can do more than `1 return, online is only 1 return per account. And in the Online version you can not see or enter into the actual forms. And some other differences.

I agree I filed a standard tax return , no itemizing or anything . It was $110.00 , Lets say this will be the last time I use turbo tax
