TurboTax is not recognizing my deductions for charitable gifts and mortgage interest. These amounts will result in a larger deduction than the standard one, but TT is forcing me to take the standard deduction without appropriately calculating the itemized deductions. The amount shown when opting to switch deduction methods within the software is not correct and does not reflect the charitable gifts or mortgage interest. I believe there is a glitch in the software.

When you say "these amounts will result in a larger deduction than the standard one", are you including all your state and local taxes (withholding, estimates paid and property taxes)? There is a new limitation of $10k for all state and local taxes that could be limiting your overall itemized deductions. Additionally, the standard deduction almost doubled this year so I also want to make sure you have the updated amounts.
