Copy 2 has the necessary information of the transactions. Copy 3 is the extra one. Doing K1, partnership.

Scroll down the rest of the form 8949 (Capital Gains) to see what is listed. These are sales such as land, second homes, etc. Things that wouldn't have been on a 1099B. If these items are not correct go to the Investment section (Stocks, Bonds, Other). When you get to the screenshot page, delete sales if needed. I am wondering if it might be something from the K1.
5 years after this post, I have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM! An extraneous 8949, ironically also labeled as Form 3.
It also has Box F checked. It is otherwise identical to another 8949 that is correct, which has Box E checked. Why the extra form? It messes up the tax return and shouldn't exist at all. The broker did not send it, as confirmed by what is shown as the downloaded 1099 forms.
Has anyone else seen that or have a solution??
