Why is my W2 info not downloading this year?

They, W2's have downloaded in prior yrs why not now?

Either the current employer is not participating in the import function or they have taken down the access to the 2017 forms already.  If you have a copy in your hand then simply enter it manually and don't bother with the import.

I own the company and we didn’t remove it, and it has always imported, I don’t even have a button to request the import?

Just to be clear...you prepared the W2s and are trying to import it into your personal return?  How did you prepare them?  Did you use Turbo Tax QEF Quick Employer Forms or a outside payroll company like ADP?

Or are you trying to prepare them or download them from QEF?

My bookkeeper uploaded the W2's using QuickBooks, just like the last few years

I think I’m lost.  Are these your personal W2 to you?  Or W2s for your employees?  To go on schedule C as payroll expenses?  You might have to ask at QuickBooks why they are not posting on schedule C.  Did the rest of your QuickBooks income and expenses fill out schedule C?  Maybe they want to another schedule C?  Switch to Forms Mode and look around.  How do you know they didn’t download!

I switched from Deluxe to Home and Business this spring, and in the past the process my office used to file W2's didn't change, although when I opened up TurboTax yesterday to start my return, I had to manually add my W2's even my wife's which came from a different employer that was downloaded last year?

Whether W-2's can be imported or not depends if the payroll company is a partner with TurboTax and makes the W-2's available for import.   Many payroll companies stop making 2017 W-2's available in Sept-Oct to start getting ready for the 2018 tax season.   Only "current" year W-2's can be imported and soon 2018 will be the current year.
