What do you mean by "not finished?" Do you mean it has not been filed? Or that you are still waiting for your tax refund?

Well----the IRS is still working on some of the forms for your 2020 return. The forms are not ready yet. It is too soon. You cannot file your 2020 return yet. The 2020 tax year is not even over yet. You need your W-2's which your employer has until February 1 to issue, and many of the other documents needed to file a 2020 return will not arrive in your mailbox until January or even February. The IRS will not begin to accept 2020 returns until the end of January.

Are you trying to use the online software for a different year? You cannot use online for any other year----only 2020.
