Why is my tax form called 1040 instead of 1040 A like last year?
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has eliminated the Form 1040-EZ and the Form 1040-A. All returns are now prepared on the Form 1040 with the applicable Schedules that are related to your tax event.
