Mine was also accepted. It is a turbo tax issue, not an IRS issue. I filed with tax act.
The date is now saying March 3rd 2022 the 8839 forms will be available. I checked the irs website and it says the same thing. Though I'm not sure what they are sending me because I've never had to wait for this form before.
Does anyone actually know what information this form provides? I know what the adoption 8839 calculation forms look like but I'm not sure why I have to wait for another form and what it will say. I already know what my numbers are I don't need any other forms.
Its Biden
is the 2/10 date still valid, there are a few messages on this subject going all the way to 3/3?
Its 3/3 now
Do you have the link of the IRS site that has the status for the form? Ive been trying to find status on IRS site and I cant find it... Ive only seen the TurboTax status link.
Thanks for the IRS link.
It looks like form 8839 was posted 11/21/2021 by IRS. That's even more frustrating that its going to take TurboTax until Mar. 3 to get it into the Product when other competitors are already updated and allowing us to file!
I noticed that date too was on there today. But a few days ago when I checked it on the IRS website it did say March 3rd. It's odd that they would take that date off and put back an earlier date typical IRS
Yes. It is very frustrating. I have done business with turbo tax for 9 years and I also do 8 family and friends taxes using turbo tax. I do not understand why it is taking so long. I talked with the irs and they told me that it is turbo tax issue with the software because they have been ready since before tax season. I have noticed that alot of people have went to other tax preparers to do their tax refund. Turbo tax is losing money and clients due to many forms not being issued. Sad... I really like turbo tax and I am trying to wait it out but I may have to look elsewhere. I have started a return on another tax software but for some reason it is not giving me as much in my return as turbo tax. It may be correct in not for certain yet.
I checked on TaxAct and it says the form is available on their software
HR block says the form is ready on their software too. If anyone tries H and R block and is successful with form 8839 pls let me know. Im considering jumping ship. FYI I spent $80 so I could talk with the Turbo tax expert and they had no answers for me they told me to delete the form and resubmit it and that didn't work. So I'm into turbi tax for 200 bucks now.
It’s time to switch to tax act!
I used H&R Block to file with my 8830 and called Turbo tax and asked for a refund of what I had already paid to file with them.
