You can check your e-file status online at the IRS by clicking on "Where is my Refund" to ensure your return was accepted by the IRS.
If the return is not shown as "in process" on the IRS.Gov page, then return to TurboTax and Click on Review to see if any issues with your e-filing.
Below is a link to a useful guide you can review for additional information:
When I follow the link it shows me this:
per your instruction, I returned to turbo tax and do not have the option for “let’s review” as it is showing it’s already been accepted.
The IRS doesn't plan to release the majority of refunds for returns that have the earned income tax credit (EITC) or the advanced child tax credit (ACTC) until later. They will begin to release a few as their system draws closer to the release date. Please see the information here on the IRS website for assistance.
I understand that, however, my concern is with turbo tax sending emails telling me to finalize me taxes, when I’m like 99% sure they’re complete already. Is this an error? Or did I miss something?
Could you perhaps have multiple Turbo Tax accounts? sometimes this happens if you have logged in from different accounts at varied times. You may use these steps to help decipher.
Thank you for the suggestion, however, I do not believe that to be the case. Though I may have had another account several years ago, I have only used this account and it’s corresponding email for the past 7 years.
Ok, if you are confident that you have only been logging into 1 account for preparation of your 2022 return then use the Turbo Tax e-file status as your guide. The tool can be found here.
