Why has a $40.00 Processing fee and an upgrade to The deluxe edtion now on my order

All this tells me is I will not plan on using Turbo tax next year. I STARTED WITH THE FREE VERSION BOUCED UP TO THE NEXT AND ENDED UP WITH THE DELUXE. STARNDARD 1040 SR.

If your TurboTax fees are higher than expected, you can reduce them by removing add-ons     (BEFORE you e-file) :

• Remove Premium Services
• Remove MAX Defend & Restore
• Remove a state
• Remove PLUS Help & Support
• Remove Pay With Your Refund

You do NOT have to pay a $40 "refund processing fee" if you pay your fees upfront BEFORE you file--- using a credit or debit card.
