Why e- file not going through?

Typically, when your e-filed return comes back as rejected, it just means that the IRS has sent your return back to you for correction. To fix your reject, sign back in to TurboTax and follow the instructions to correct the error. Please see the information in this TurboTax FAQ here for assistance.

If you believe you have submitted all the information, you will need to contact customer service directly for assistance. Please see the following information here for more details.

Why e- file not going through?

When I attempt to e-file my returns, I get the message from your system (not IRS) We could not file your return due to the following reason "Tax Year 2021 transmissions are not available."

 

I have tried at least 10 times on different days and at different times but the same message appears time after time. This does not make any sense since I input all required data and was directed to e=file. What is going on? I am tired of these messages, tired of email correspondence from you with no results. I have used your product for years and have always been satisfied but this is not acceptable. Why aren't my transmissions available? How can I correct this today. Are you having software issues?  WHAT is happening?

Why e- file not going through?

@arielmarsh88  Do you have a large number of imported stock or cryptocurrency transactions on your return?  If so, refer to the following Help Article for assistance:  How do I file my return when I see the Transmission Trouble screen?

 

If the above does not pertain to you, it's possible that you have Federal or State forms included in your return that are not yet ready for e-filing.  Refer to the Help Articles below to check when forms will be available:

Once your form becomes available, it should automatically update if you're using TurboTax Online.  In some cases, you may need to clear your browser's cache and cookies.  For the TurboTax CD/Download software, you will need to check for updates or update manually using the steps listed here.
