Why does my tax file from the previous year download as a "corrupted" or "damaged" file? I have spent hours trying every recommended to fix it, it still doesn't work.

More information is needed for folks to comment.  First of all, are you using a Windows PC or Mac computer?

What type of file are you trying to download from your Online TurboTax account--a 2024 PDF or the data file *.tax2024?    

Are you downloading the file first to your computer before opening?  What program are you using to open the downloaded file?  For example, a PDF file would be opened in Adobe Reader or another PDF reader, or can be opened with a browser.  In contrast, the data file can only be opened with 2024 desktop software.
