Why does my AMT calculation in Turbotax say "income exempted from AMT 65,120" but the exemption charts say 83,800 for joint filers. I can't find 65,120 anywhere.

The AMT exemption phases out based on higher income.  If your AMT taxable income (Form 6251 line 28) is higher than $159,700 for married filing joint returns, then your exemption will be less than $83,800.
