Why do turbo tax lie year after year?
Turbo tax lie all the time year after year. They say it's free and then in the end they hit you with a large price just like the others do. I guess they feel you are so excited that you forget what they said at the start. I do not like liars and I will tell others of this scam. If you call them out on this they say , you must have upgraded. what a rip off. At least the other company's do the work for you and here you do the work and get ripped off. who ever sit up with their night light and thought this up were very smart. I will spread the word by mouth and over the internet.

Why do turbo tax lie year after year?
Only Forms 1040EZ and 1040A are free. TT has to pay its employees, and thus cannot give everything away for free.
I am not a TT employee.

Why do turbo tax lie year after year?
I believe it's misrepresentation. I signed on yesterday for FULL SERVICE. FULL SERVICE TO ME MEANS EXACTLY THAT. None of the specialists are CPAs it seems as they wouldn't itemize my deductions for me, and really, isn't that what you would expect with FULL SERVICE?

Why do turbo tax lie year after year?
@Esahdala No one in the user forum can see your tax return. We do not know what version of the software you were trying to use---other than "Full Service"----were you using the free offer for Basic Full Service? If so, you cannot use that to itemize deductions. That offer is only for a very simple return that uses a Form 1040 only.
Or....if you were trying to itemize, did you have enough itemized deductions to exceed your standard deduction?

Why do turbo tax lie year after year?
i never said anything about lying to begin with . my concerns were with the term used "full service".
back in the 80 -90s and before all tax "specialisst" were CPAS ". the two entities went hand in hand . Using the term full service is incorrect as far as turbo tax tax services go.
