Why do i not have the option of selecting a tax filing status? I normally file as head of household however I do not have any options to make that selection.

I have a live in girlfriend (unofficial wife 20 + years and a 22 year old daughter both living with me. My daughter I can no longer claim as a dependant. My girlfriend, I can.

Sorry you need to claim a blood relative to file Head of Household .  You aren't claiming your daughter now.  Why can't you claim her?  Is she not a full time student?

Who is a qualifying person for Head of Household

A GF cannot be a qualifying dependent to file as HOH--since she is not related to you.   If you cannot claim your daughter you do not have a dependent that qualifies you to file HOH.  You can only get the $500 credit for other dependents if you can claim your GF.  And we do not know if you can even claim your GF.  GF cannot be claimed if she had more than $4700 of income--not counting Social Security.
