why do i need to upgrade? saying I have interest and/or dividends on a schedule B?

Have you entered $1,500 or more of interest/dividends on the 2024 tax return? 

If so, you will have to upgrade to the Deluxe online edition since the Free edition does not support Schedule B.  And Schedule B is required when $1,500 or more of interest/dividends have been entered.
