I got this reject. I paid for TT Deluxe and tried to file and got this message, twice. I went back and deleted my state and re-entered it. I then went to e-file again and problems came up with my federal which didn't exist before. I fixed them and went back to file. It is asking me to pay again as if I didn't already pay. I checked my bank account and sure enough I have been charged $43 and I have also recieved a confirmation for my payment from TT via email. Yet my taxes have not been filed and I have no way of skipping the payment or making it detect that I have already paid.
Also I need to go back and fix the Sch SE-T form but I cannot find it or access it. I need to enter in the correct number for Line 18.
This is probably the last time I am using TT. I just want a refund at this point and I am going to use another service. This is the third time I've entered in my info. Ridiculous
I need my extra $40 back
I am having the same exact issue. Checked everything over and over again and everything is good to go. Took my payment and now it won't let me file saying the same issue as everyone else. Really need this issue fixed TurboTax!
I am having the same issue. Spoke with an agent (after an hour wait) who had no better answers for me. I already paid Turbo Tax $30 freaking dollars for plus so if I find out it is their issue and I have to go elsewhere, I am not going to be a happy camper. I am waiting for a CPA to look over everything and get back to me tomorrow. My taxes are really basic, all forms show as available on all lists, and I have re-checked all my info several times. I have been successfully using e-file on Turbo Tax for years.
I have the same issue. Simple return but I keep getting the error. I already paid for my state filing, so I cannot go back and delete it. Did anyone come up with the solution yet?
I read "delete state and redo",
by clicking state from left side, I could delete and I just did again.
After short reviews, TurboTax was asking me to pay $40 for state efiling.
I recently paid only $40 Deluxe plan (normally $50, discount $10) for federal,
and it looked like to proceed, but "I was not entitled to efile"
I'm not sure how much total cost to file federal and state.
IMO, My case, Turbotax wanted $40 for federal and $40 for state.
e-filing was proceeding without charging for state.
This worked perfectly, thank you!
I deleted the state return and started over as suggested. The issue was it added a W2 from and old employer that was all zeros when I haven’t worked there for years. I deleted that employer. Seems strange that it wouldn’t have caught any issues the when I checked or “combed over” my info 100 times before and before it let my enter my debit card info saying I was “good to go.”However, now it wants me to pay again to file. I have already paid! This is ridiculous. I have been a turbo tax customer for several years and never had these kinds of problems. Really disappointed in all the glitches this year.
I'm also in the same boat, there are no errors left on the federal or state and I've tried redoing both State and Federal 3 times now.
When you deleted your state did you have to re-enter all the information again or did it just pull the numbers from your federal?
in my case, it pulled numbers from the federal which was done in minutes.

I had this same issue, for some reason you are not given the option to pay for your state return when you try to file. I had to delete my state return and re-enter it. I was then prompted to pay for my state return once I completed it. BUT....my return changed and it was showing that I now owed in federal. Somehow when I started my state return again some of my federal numbers were moved around????? So double check your federal after you are re-enter the state. My Box 12 Code and amounts got mixed around???? I was able to transmit them though in the end....good luck
After I hit the trash can I selected add new state then it does the whole let me pull in your numbers for a head start. Then just walk through the questions again for your state.
Thank you! Deleting and re-doing my State form resolved my issue and I was able to efile.
