Why am i paying turbo tax to file my taxes when it sat for 10 week in idenity verfication. and turbo tax does nothing

You paid for the use of the software to prepare your tax return instead of sitting down with  paper forms, a calculator and 108 page IRS instruction book.   TurboTax has no control over the IRS.   If the IRS wanted to verify your identity that is an issue between you and the IRS.   Sometimes the requests to verify identity are random and sometimes something about your return triggers the need to verify your identity to prevent fraud.
