Why am I not getting anything for my dependent?

there is no longer a deduction for dependents.  at best there are some credits.  certain ways of filing will result in loss of certain credits. so.  what is your filing status? what is the age of your dependent? do you know what credits are missing?

Thank you for replying so quickly..  I basically started over and figured it out.  I am now getting the full amount for my child. Phew!
