If you have just interest and dividends (Schedule B) you can use any version of TurboTax.  However, if you have capital gains/losses reported on a brokerage statement, requiring a Schedule D, you need TurboTax Premier (Online) or any version of TurboTax CD/Download.

We always purchase the download, so we can get by with Deluxe download if we still need a Schedule D? I don't have to purchase Premier?

What version of TT (CD or Download) included Schedule D. (Stocks & carry over losses)

To my knowledge TT Premier version is required (CD or Download) to get Schedule D. Schedule D is required to report stocks, capital gain or carry over capital loss.

@Zagazig44 EVERY  version of the desktop download software has all of the forms and all of the schedules, so you can prepare a Schedule D if you use ANY version of the download software.  You just can get more help if you have Premier.       If you use online TurboTax, you need Premium.
