The previous attempts to answer this question are not sufficient. I have a Substitute Form 1099-PATR which lists amounts for boxes 3, 6,7, and 8. The words used on the form to describe these amounts don't match with the questions which are asked in Easy-Step for farm rental income and expenses, so it's not helpful. If I enter the right numbers to the wrong question, then Turbotax will enter the amounts on the incorrect forms and that will cause all kinds of problems.
I also agree with an earlier post which suggested that you add the 1099-PATR form to Turbotax. The program allows you to enter numbers on other 1099 forms, so why not the PATR?

Where you report a Form 1099-PATR depends. Amounts shown in boxes 1, 2, 3, and 5 are typically reported as income on Schedule F, Schedule C, or Form 4835 (Farm Rental Income and Expenses). Taxpayers that do not file Schedule F - Profit or Loss from Farming, Schedule C - Self-Employment Income, or Form 4835 often report the income on 1099-PATR as "Other Income" on Schedule 1 of Form 1040. Boxes 6, 7, 8, & 9 relate to Section 199(A) Qualified Business Income Deduction.
Can you reply and clarify if you are filing Schedule C, Schedule F, or Form 4835? Also indicate the amount reported in Box 3.
