Where do I report my temporary living expenses (lodging) associated with W-2 income for an out-of-state temporary (3 month) job?

Unfortunately, these expenses are no longer a federal tax deduction. 

Job related expenses for W-2 employees were eliminated as part of the changes to the tax laws this year. 

You can still report these expenses because some states allow the deduction. 

Here is where you report in TT Home & Business:

Personal

Deductions & Credits

Scroll to Employment Expenses

Select Job Related Expenses
