@JMR11 , can you please tell me a little bit more about :
(a) your citizenship --- US or UK
(b) where are you a resident of -- currently in the US or in the UK
(c) what type of pension --- private entity, social security equivalent etc.
( d) when did you work in the UK and was it for a private entity ?
I am trying to understand the situation -- because generally speaking any social security type of pensions ( i.e. paid by the govt of the country ) is usually taxed ONLY by the country whom is the payor. Please help me understand the situation -- ref article 17 of the US-UK tax treaty .
