You do not enter the exclusion anywhere on your tax return. All you do is enter the unemployment compensation you received.
The TurboTax software will calculate the exclusion amount and enter it on your federal tax return provided you are eligible with a 2020 AGI of less than $150,000.
You can look at your Schedule 1 to see your unemployment income and the exclusion. The total amount of unemployment can be seen on Line 7 and the exclusion can be seen on Line 8. The net amount is included in Line 9 and the amount on Line 9 is entered on Form 1040, Line 8.
If you do not any have other additional income items, the net amount/taxable amount of your unemployment will be on Line 8 of Form 1040. But, if you do have additional income, you will need to look at Schedule 1 to see the details of the unemployment exclusion. See the image of Schedule 1 below.
