TurboTax doesn't usually announce the purchase availability until just right before. In past years for the desktop software it typically has been mid to late November. However, TurboTax did say recently that for Advantage members it should be available in "early November" but doesn't define what that means. And they can move the date back if they decide it's not ready for release.
The initial release is essentially a "Beta version" with many forms not yet completed and approved by the IRS. This year with all the new tax law changes, it may take longer and several updates to get all the finalized forms and the program to have all of its functionalities.
I am "Advantage" and was able to download the software earlier today.
My order confirmation email was received on 11/4/2015 and stated that "my Turbotax Advantage Download is now available". It was not available then, and is still not available now. I am trying every day with no success. Can you give me any hints? I contacted Intuit Turbotax by phone, but I only got online help, which was not helpful.

Sorry you're having trouble. Are you signing into your Advantage account and then looking under "Downloads" tab?
First, check to see if you have more than one account. The email address used for account notifications may or may not be the same as the email address used to log in to the account. You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes. A User ID may be an email address, but it doesn't have to be. It might be only part of an email address, or it can be anything at all.
So first see if you have more than one account. To get a list of your User IDs, reset password, and recover account access, etc., you can use the tool at the link below. When using the Account Recovery tool, try using your phone number first if you can still access it. After that, if necessary, then run the tool on your email address(es) you can access.
NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop. Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below. You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session.

If still no luck after running that on your phone number you can still access and email address(es) that you can access, here's another method:
Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, scroll down a bit, then choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by other parameters.
