I just pulled the 8915-F from the IRS website and it looks like it is ready to go. Hopefully that means the form will be available soon on Turbo Tax, I am not able to find it yet ???
It is ready to go if you want to download it and file by mail. Tax software does not program from paper forms then require electronic form specifications (schemas) that the IRS has yet to provide.
@TomK100 Form 8915-F was finalized by the IRS yesterday (2/3/2022). When can we expect the form in Turbotax Desktop?
Thanks

Did you READ my post?
H&R Block claims they will have it by 2/8. I saw it posted on a where’s my refund Facebook page posted by H&R Block not by some random person. Hopefully TurboTax can get it quickly as well.
Yes I did. Last year when 8915E was released the paper form it took TT Desktop a few days after. Trying to get an idea of timeline here.
I am convinced nobody reads your posts at this point @macuser_22 ....Thank you for clarifying everything 20 times though...lol
I was thinking the same thing. lol
Yes that's so much does answering the questions
05FEB2022: I just searched the IRS website for 8915-F and it appears the final version of the form and instructions are now available.
IRS link to the form: https ://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8915f.pdf
IRS link to the instructions: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i8915f.pdf
I re-ran my TurboTax form, but it appears TT has not yet updated their software for the 8915-F form for eFiling.
Right. From what I understand and from what happened last year, it can take around 2 weeks to have it loaded once the IRS made it available. I have been seeing posts that say H&R Block will have it 2/8 so IF that is true, I’m sure TT won’t be too far behind!

Really?....Strange that a Form 8915-F is not listed on H&R Block website for forms availability - https://www.hrblock.com/tax-center/support/online/online-tax-filing/prepare-to-file-taxes-online/sup...
OR - https://www.hrblock.com/tax-software/updates-back-editions/federal-forms-available.html
As an update, I see that the IRS published on its Forms and Publication Website contained in www.irs.gov that Form 8915-F was published on 2/2/2022 and the instructions on 2/3/2022 in final form. Per the great and thorough discussion I saw, thank you, it sounds like it takes two to three weeks for Turbo Tax to be updated to incorporate the question and answers form to complete the form online. Does that mean that by the end of February, those that took the disaster relief for Covid in 2020 will be able to complete their tax returns by then? I am looking towards electronic filing, especially since the IRS has had trouble keeping up with paper returns, so it is best I wait. Any updates would be helpful. Thanks again!
No need to be snippy! Just stating what I saw 👀
The IRS has the form and work sheets online. I will wait until it is uploaded to the program to finish. The mechanics of re-payments is there for flow from work sheet 4 ( 3 year equal payment) and sheet 5(excess in year 1 + payment).
When will I receive a download for filing my 2021 return.
