When I tried to e file my taxes I am getting a message that my w2 varication is invalid. I don't have one and don't what that is. As a result I could not send.

I believe you may be entering a letter as a number incorrectly.  for example, a 1 instead of an I.  hope this helps!

2 possibilities.  you've entered something in box 9 when there's nothing  in that box on your w-2 or there is data in that box that you've entered incorrectly.  0 is zero nor the letter O
