When I put in my zip code it brings up the wrong city, how do i change it?

Make sure that you have entered the correct State.

Down the left side of the screen, click on My Info.

To the right of Mailing address, click on Edit.

At the screen Enter your current mailing address, make sure US address is in the box Type of mailing address.

Make sure that the correct State is listed.

Live in Indiana and retired from the federal government in July 2018. Which category do I select? Options are military, disability, or other distribution. 1099 R box 9b shows a total contribution of $15,733.

You will select "other" in the federal interview as this is not part of the military retirement deduction for IN.  However, if you received a CSA 1099-R you could be eligible for another deduction.  Here is a link with discussion on that topic.

my state is correct. my house is located in Detroit but the nearest post office is Grosse Pointe, so it is automatically listing Grosse Pointe for me. detroit has different rules, such as a municipal income tax, so that's not going to work. how do i override your incorrect auto population of the city field?
