The deceased person's name goes on the filing part.  When you are filing the tax return there will be a question asked if the person passed away during 2016. You would indicate yes, and then enter the date the person passed away. The program will guide you through the rest of the return helping you fill it out for the deceased.

Do not use your account. If you have the deceased person's login you can use that or create a new one.
