The agent is Only able to view/share your TurboTax session. They are not able to view any other windows, programs or view anything else on the computer. They also do not have access to anything or have the ability to click and open anything. They are simply only able to watch.
They will be able to see anything you have on the screen ... so if you have other tabs open & you click on those tabs then they will be able to see what ever you see ... they will have no control over what you click on and cannot do any searching on your computer ... it is just like they were looking over your shoulder at home.
Agents would only have the ability to view the browser tab that is logged into TurboTax Online. They do not have the ability to view any other tabs, windows or programs that are open; only the TurboTax page that is logged in. Since this is View only, they also do not have the ability to click on any buttons on the current page of view or type/fill-in any information.
@Carl So you have to move the mouse yourself? They cannot control it from their end? Is there somewhere on a Turbo Tax webpage that explains the process?
TurboTax agents can only see your TurboTax program when you use the co-browse function to see the screen. They cannot control your computer and rely on you to move to the applicable section of the program so they can assist you.
