What time frame does the W-2 form cover?
If I quit a previous job in early February 2017, should my W-2 form only include wages from January and February 2017?
I have read some information that also includes wages earned in the last two weeks of December 2016, if they were paid after January 1st. Is there any other reason there would be additional wages included?

What time frame does the W-2 form cover?
Your 2017 Form W-2 will include wages that your employer paid to you in 2017. It's very common that you have wages included on your 2017 W-2 for work performed at the tail end of 2016, if you were paid in 2017 for your 2016 labor. The key is the date that you were paid, not the dates that you performed the labor.
Several items can be included in the Wages box (box 1) of your Form W-2... besides just wages, your employer can include tips, prizes and other compensation, and even taxable fringe benefits, if you received any.
