I mailed my returns the federal and state. I found out I made a typing error for my son's SSN. I wrote wrong my son's SSN's first 5 numbers, should I amend my return?

No, don't amend your return.
The odds are that the IRS will detect the incorrect SSN when cross-checking against its name control database. They'll almost surely make the correction, and you'll never be contacted about it.
If they catch the error but can't correct the SSN, and the loss of your son's dependency results in a change in your refund or balance due, you'll be notified, and you can then address the issue.
The same logic most likely applies to your state return, so don't amend that one, either.
Thank you very much. I claimed my son since he was born. I was busy and was not careful, and made a typing error. If my son's dependency results in a change in my balance due, the IRS and CA FTB will notify me, then I will address the issue. Thank you again, you made my day. I was worried too much, cause there is not enough time to amend my return.
